HR-glass (High-Resist glass) is alkali-free aluminosilicate glass that does not contain boron oxide and fluorine. This glass type could fully substitute E-glass in various aspects. The most important feature of this type of glass is its heat resistance of up to 800°C.
Advantages of HR glass fibre compared to E-glass
higher chemical resistance, particularly in alkaline and water environments;
higher heat resistance;
environmentally friendlier glass melting process - does not create dust emissions containing boron oxide.
SILICA-PLIED YARN (SiO2-glass 1000º+C)
We offer twisted yarns with a high SiO2 content (KC) with a thermal resistance of 1000+°C. High-silica twisted yarns are a new-generation heat-resistant material.
Application: broad-spectrum; products can be used in various high-tech fields (such as aviation and space industry, chemical industry, metallurgy, special clothing manufacturing, power production, machine building, etc.) that require heat resistance (up to 1000°C) materials. High-silica materials can be used anywhere where low thermal conductivity, inertness to most chemical reagents, resistance to organic and mineral acids (except hydrofluoric acids and phosphoric acids), weak alkali, water, and high-pressure steam is required.
Shrinkage at 1000°C:
up to 12% for thermally non-treated textured yarns.
Parameters: high-silica twisted yarns are delivered on conical plastic bobbins, the weight per bobbin is 3 kg.
Designation:
e.g. KC6-90x2s140, where:
KC – type (high-silica twisted fiberglass yarn),
6 - filament diameter in μm,
90 - linear density in tex* (* - the weight of 1000 m of yarn in grams),
x2 - number of yarns,
s140 - twist direction and the number of twists per meter.
